Troopers Take More Dopers off the Streets
Southern Indiana-Since this past Monday, troopers from the Indiana State Police Post at Sellersburg arrested five more people on drug related charges after traffic stops and other investigations.
In one stop, that occurred on Monday in Scott County, on Jack Morgan Road, troopers arrested Ricky Mullins for Possession of Marijuana; Possession of Methamphetamine; Possession of Cocaine or Narcotic Drug; Possession of Paraphernalia and Maintaining a Common Nuisance. He was incarcerated at the Scott County Jail.
On Tuesday, troopers arrested Brittany L. Babbitt, 25, from O’Bannon Road in Harrison County. She was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Paraphernalia and incarcerated at the Harrison County Jail after an investigation at her residence.
Two more were arrested on Tuesday as K-9 “Riggs” alerted on a vehicle being driven by, Michaela A. Jones-Besaw, 39, from Jackson Street in Jasper. After a search of the vehicle, on Interstate #64 near Georgetown in Floyd County, sixty-five, (65), used syringes were located. She was arrested and incarcerated at the Floyd County Jail on the charges of Possession of a Syringe or Hypodermic Needle and Maintaining a Common Nuisance. Also in Floyd County another traffic stop on Grant Line Road near Northgate Blvd., led to the arrest of Gatright N. Starr, 20, from Prestwick Square in New Albany. During this traffic stop, troopers located Marijuana and a Schedule Four Controlled Substance, Gatright Starr was incarcerated at the Floyd County Jail on the charges of Possession of Marijuana; Possession of a Schedule Four Controlled Substance; Possession of Alcohol by a Minor and Operator Never Licensed.
Late Wednesday evening, troopers arrested Robert K. Nunley, 46, from Salem, Indiana, after a traffic stop and an alert by K-9 “Riggs”. The stop occurred on State Road #60 near State Road #335 in Washington County. During a search of the vehicle troopers located Heroin, Methamphetamine and several items of Paraphernalia. He was arrested and charged with Maintaining a Common Nuisance; Dealing in a Controlled Substance, Schedule 1, 2, or 3; Possession of Methamphetamine; Possession of Paraphernalia; Possession of a Schedule One Controlled Substance and Possession of a Hypodermic Needle or Syringe. He was incarcerated at the Washington County Jail.
