THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS ISSUED A
* TORNADO WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF CENTRAL AND EASTERN KANSAS WESTERN OKLAHOMA WESTERN NORTH TEXAS
* EFFECTIVE THIS THURSDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING FROM 130 PM UNTIL1000 PM CDT.
* PRIMARY THREATS INCLUDE...
SEVERAL TORNADOES AND A COUPLE INTENSE TORNADOES LIKELY WIDESPREAD LARGE HAIL EXPECTED WITH ISOLATED VERY LARGE HAIL EVENTS TO 3 INCHES IN DIAMETER LIKELY
SCATTERED DAMAGING WIND GUSTS TO 70 MPH LIKELY
SUMMARY...THUNDERSTORMS ARE RAPIDLY DEVELOPING OVER PARTS OF SOUTH-CENTRAL KS...AND ALONG THE DRYLINE OVER WESTERN OK. IT APPEARS SEVERAL ROUNDS OF STORMS MAY AFFECT THE WATCH AREA TODAY...WITH THE POTENTIAL FOR VERY LARGE HAIL AND TORNADOES. STRONG TORNADOES ARE POSSIBLE.
