Indecent Exposure Investigation

The Columbia Township Police Department continues to investigate reports of indecent exposure from an adult (white) male, driving a Chrysler or Dodge mini-van, greenish in color.

The most recent incident occurred on Friday, May 20th on North Lake Road near the Columbia Options School. An 18 year old female was walking on North Lake, at approximately noon, when a male subject in a greenish Chrysler or Dodge minivan drove by her slowly and exposed himself to her.

Her description of the subject and vehicle fit the description of a similar incident that occurred in Cement City on approximately March 10, 2016, as well as another recent incident in Onsted.

Based on similar descriptions of the vehicle and suspect, a Michigan State Police sketch artist was arranged, and on Friday, May 27, 2016, the sketch artist met with the one witness that got the best look at the suspect. That composite is attached.

Additionally, follow-up investigation at the Columbia Options revealed a video clip of the vehicle driving on North Lake at the time of the May 20th incident. That picture is attached as well (the van is driving on the roadway, disregard vehicles parked in lot).

Anyone recognizing the sketch, as well as the van, is asked to contact the Columbia Township Police Department at 517-592-3122.
