HMPD Officers arrest man on felony cocaine charges.
On Wednesday, May 25, 2016, as part of an ongoing narcotics investigation, Officers from the Hope Mills Police Department assisted the Department of Homeland Security, ATF, NC Department of Revenue, and the Fayetteville PD Narcotics Unit with the execution of a search warrant at a residence located in the 4900 block of Miranda Drive, Hope Mills. During the course of executing the search warrant, Officers located almost a kilogram of powder and crack cocaine, and an illegal firearm. After the search warrant was executed, Officers took Tavares Lajuane Graham, who is the homeowner of the residence searched, into custody and transported him to the Cumberland County Detention Center where he was jailed under a $55,000.00 bond for the following charges:
1 count of Felony Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
1 count of Felony Trafficking Cocaine by Possession
1 count of Felony Trafficking by Manufacturing Cocaine
1 count of Felony Maintaining a Vehicle/Dwelling for the sale of Narcotics
