The Burlington Police Department is currently investigating a large number of vandalisms, mostly involving motor vehicles, that have been occurring over the past two months. Since April 1st, there have been over 30 incidents reported to BPD in which vehicle windows have been shot out with a BB or Pellet gun.
The incidents have occurred throughout the city with no one particular area targeted. Investigation has revealed that the Colchester Police Department as well as the Winooski Police Department have had similar incidents which, based on the investigation, we strongly believe are connected.
The Burlington Police Department is currently offering a cash reward up to $500 for any information that leads to the arrest of the person (s) responsible for these incidents. Anyone with information is asked to call the Burlington Police Department at 658-2700.
