On May 27, 2016, Lt. Shane Hunter obtained warrants for Jason Bryan Curtis for Attempted Second Degree Murder, three counts of Aggravated Domestic Assault, and one count of Domestic Assault. The investigation began on May 23, 2016 after Investigator Josh Bass became aware of the allegations and the investigation continues.
After obtaining the warrants numerous deputies with Giles County Sheriff’s Department attempted to locate Mr. Curtis. Mr. Curtis was located at his address in the early morning hours of May 28, 2016. Deputies attempted to make contact with Mr. Curtis, and Mr. Curtis failed to answer. The Giles County Sheriff's Special Response Team was activated and responded to the residence. After a lengthy process, Mr. Curtis was contacted by phone and eventually surrendered to arresting deputies. Mr. Curtis was transported to Giles County Jail. Mr. Curtis bond was set at $750, 000. Mr. Curtis will appear in court on June 2, 2016.
