Representatives of the Township of River Vale, Bergen County, CME Associates and Sparwick Contracting met today to discuss the final stages of construction of the Rivervale Road stabilization project.
The final construction zone is currently located between Town Hall
and Piermont Avenue. At the aforementioned meeting it was determined that the project requires an additional week of road closure (until June 10th) to be completed.

The original date of June 3rd could not be met due to a unanticipated failure of the southbound traffic lane which will require the contractor to excavate and repair both lanes of traffic. It is anticipated that the roadway will open 100% to vehicular traffic by the end of business on Friday June 10th.

The contractor will return later in the month to complete final paving
of the entire project (Rivervale road from Old Tappan Rd. to Town Hall)
and it is expected to be completed in 2 days with alternating traffic during construction hours of the respective days.
