DETROIT -- Police are seeking help finding a boy who may have been kidnapped Tuesday night.
Deontae Mitchell, 13, of Detroit, went missing around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, after he and a cousin visited Nino's Market on East Warren Avenue near Outer Drive.
An Amber Alert was issued Wednesday morning by the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.
The boy's cousin told police Deontae may have grabbed by a man in a black Chevrolet Impala.
"The cousin stated a drunk man dropped some money while urinating outside the market. The cousin stated Deontae Mitchell picked up the money and both cousins pedaled off on their bicycles," police said in a news release.
"A short time later, the cousin got information that his cousin had been grabbed by a black male in a 2002 Chevy Impala and was being held against his will."
The teen is described as 4-foo-11, about 86 pounds, with light hazel eyes and medium-brown complexion. He was wearing a lime green Nautica shirt, gray jogging pants and black gym shoes.
