BURGLARY: Two subjects charged with Burglary 2nd degree from Fair Way incident.
On June 2, 2016 at approximately 11:53 a.m., the Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department received a report of a possible burglary in progress at a residence on Fair Way, Poughkeepsie, NY. The resident reported hearing someone knocking on the door and then observed two male subjects standing outside of the residence. The resident called police and then entered a bedroom, locking the door as the suspects forced entry into the home. As responding officers arrived, the suspects fled into a wooded area behind the home. A police K-9 track led to the suspects who were hiding under a large tarp several hundred yards away. They were taken into custody without incident and both charged with Burglary in the second degree, a Class C Felony.

Syrus-Edwing Pena-Guerra, age 36, of Queens, NY
The defendants were arraigned in the Town of Poughkeepsie Justice Court before Judge Paul Sullivan and were remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $20,000 cash or $40,000 bond and are scheduled to return on June 8, 2016 at 2:30 p.m.
