***FATALITY HIT & RUN PRESS RELEASE UPDATE***
On 6/2/2016 at 9:09 PM, the Red Oak Police Department Criminal Investigation Division placed a 44 year old male under arrest for his alleged involvement in the offense of “Accident Involving Death” that occurred in the early morning hours of 5/22/2016. The hit and run fatality accident claimed the life of Betsy Sue McClelland of Red Oak. The subject has been identified as Chase E. Crary of Ferris, Texas. Mr. Crary has been transferred to the Ellis County Sheriff’s Office with a $100,000.00 Bond
The Red Oak Police Department Criminal Investigation Division received a tip from a local citizen that led to the identification of Mr. Crary. The Red Oak Police Department Criminal Investigation Division continues to investigate and collect evidence regarding the offense.
