Motorcyclist and his Passenger Hurt in Crash
Porter County-A single vehicle crash, yesterday evening, resulted in a motorcyclist and his passenger being injured when they lost control of their motorcycle.
Preliminary investigation by Trooper Nate Wolfe revealed that at approximately 7:48 p.m., yesterday, June 6, 2016, evening a 2000 Suzuki, motorcycle, driven by Erik M. Chessor, 31 of North Judson, was east bound on I-94 in the right lane. Chessor had just entered I-94 from south bound SR 49 when for unknown reasons traffic slowed down ahead.
Chessor tried to slow down, swerved to avoid traffic, and lost control of the motorcycle. Chessor and his passenger, Samantha N. Wilson-Sayre, 29 of Portage came to rest in the right lane. Chessor was taken to North Lake Methodist Hospital in Gary with non-life threatening injuries and Wilson-Sayre was taken to Franciscan Hospital in Chesterton with non-life threatening injuries also.
Both Chessor and Wilson-Sayre were not wearing helmets or safety clothing.
