Thirty-five local children enjoyed the first night of Midnight Sports at Brookhaven Middle School on Friday. 
On Friday night, Sebastopol Police Officers Jacques Levesque and Salvador Villanueva host this year's first session of Midnight Sports.
Thirty-five young people, ages six to fourteen, attended and enjoyed a safe, fun evening of sports and food.
The Midnight Sports program was started by Officer Maria Pennacchio over a decade ago. Maria, now a Reserve Police Officer, stopped by on Friday night to wish Jacques and Salvador well as they oversee the program.
Midnight Sports will occur on Friday nights throughout the summer, ending in Friday, August 19th. Folks interested in learning more about the program can call Officers Levesque or Villanueva at 829-4400.
