Report of a Disturbance Leads to Arrest of Saint Anthony Woman
Jasper: The report of a disturbance this morning in Jasper led State Police to arrest a Saint Anthony woman on drug charges and a warrant.
At 7:36 A.M., Trooper Brock Werne was traveling along Mill Street near 14th Street in Jasper when he observed a woman yelling at another male. Werne stopped to check on the woman, 29 year old Lindsay Weaver of Saint Anthony. Determining she was ok and had a place to go, Werne and Weaver both left the area.
Nearly 40 minutes after speaking with Weaver, another report of a disturbance was made, this time occurring at Leopold and 14th Streets. Werne arrived and again found Weaver causing a disturbance at a residence. Werne learned that Weaver had missed a court appearance this morning in Orange County, and later found that Weaver was wanted for failing to appear in court. As Werne placed Weaver into handcuffs, a small container containing Xanex pills fell from Weaver. Werne found that Weaver was illegally possessing the Schedule IV controlled substance.
Weaver was transported to and lodged in the Dubois County Security Center without incident. State Police was assisted at the scene by officers with the Jasper Police Department.
