FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
On June 16, 2016 at approximately 2:31 a.m., units from the Angels Camp Fire Department, Altaville Melones Fire Protection District, Murphys Fire Protection District, San Andreas Fire Protection District, CALFIRE, and the Calaveras Consolidated Fire Protection District responded to a reported structure fire in the 400 block of S. Main Street.
Units arrived on scene to find a single family residence that was 75% engulfed in flames. All residents were able to exit the residence unharmed.
Firefighters were able to confine the fire to the residence with no extension to the surrounding vegetation. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
