SPD and SFD rescue two people who were trapped in an elevator on Morris Street due to a power outage. 
This evening, about 6pm, power to the east side of Sebastopol was lost due to a tree trimming accident on Highway 12 near Duer Road.
Two janitors at a business on Morris Street were trapped in an elevator due to the power outage. They called 9-1-1 and spoke with the Sebastopol Police Department Dispatcher. She sent Officers Wong and Villanueva to the location along with the Sebastopol Fire Department.
The SPD Officers obtained a telephone number for the property owner who provided contact information for the elevator company. The elevator company provided directions to SFD personnel, who were able to reset the elevator, freeing those trapped inside.
The power has since been restored to the area.
