Monrovia Canyon Park, Trask Boy Scout Camp, and Hillside Wilderness Preserve are CLOSED due to fire danger.
There are two separate brush fires currently burning in Los Angeles County near Monrovia - the Reservoir Fire (in Azusa) & the Fish Fire (in Duarte). The Reservoir Fire is estimated to be 1,200 acres in size and the Fish Fire is estimated to be 1,000 acres in size.
Currently, outside of hard closures to Canyon Park, Trask Boy Scout Camp, and the Hillside Wilderness Preserve, there are no other closures or evacuations in Monrovia. In addition, the fire is burning away from Monrovia at the current time. However, the situation may change and we urge everyone to remain on alert throughout the day.
