ISP Investigating Pedestrian-Train Fatality
Randolph County – This morning around 7:40 a.m., Trooper Seth Painter and ISP Sergeant Jeff Zeiger, along with the Randolph County Sheriff’s Department, responded to a report of a pedestrian struck by a train on CR. 900 W south of SR32.
When they arrived they found that a female had been struck by a west bound train. The preliminary investigation is that Angela C. Jordan, age 38 with a Muncie address, was laying on the tracks as the west bound train was approaching. The train was unable to get stopped before striking the woman.
Jordan, who it is believed was living with a friend in Farmland, was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation into the incident is ongoing. Trooper Painter was assisted at the scene by ISP Sergeant Jeff Zeiger, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Department, Randolph County Coroner, Randolph County EMS, Parker City Police Department and Farmland Fire and Rescue.
