2 charged in residential burglary, interrupted by homeowners; suspect attempted to strike one w/car
21-year old male and 22-year old female charged after burglarizing home in eastern Greene County; homeowners interrupted crime, male suspect strikes one of the homeowners with his vehicle
On Friday, June 17, 2016, at approximately 6:32 p.m., Greene County Sheriff's Deputies were called to a home located in the 4500 block of State Highway J in eastern Greene County after the homeowners discovered a male and female burglarizing their home. The Greene County Prosecuting Attorney's Office has charged 21-year old COLTON D. SCHWENN with:
1 - Felony count of 1st Degree Robbery
1 - Felony count of 2nd Degree Burglary
1 - Felony count of Unlawful Use of a Weapon
(warrant #1631-CR04632, bond amount $25,000.00)
and 22-year old ALIAH C. HARMON with:
1 - Felony count of Accessory to 1st Degree Robbery
1 - Felony count of Accessory to 2nd Degree Burglary
(warrant #1631-CR04633, bond amount $25,000.00)
Upon further investigation, GCSO Detectives learned after the homeowners confronted Schwenn and Harmon, whom they witnessed burglarizing their home, the pair attempted to flee and drove over one of the homeowners. Neither the homeowners nor the suspects sustained any serious injuries from this incident. Both Harmon and Schwenn were arrested and transported to the Greene County Jail; the investigation is still considered to be open and on-going.
