The Sebastopol Police Department is saddened to announce the passing of K-9 Frank yesterday about 6pm.
It is with a heavy heart and deep sadness that the Sebastopol Police Department publicly announces the passing of K-9 Frank.
Frank joined the Sebastopol Police Department in the summer of 2013, quickly bonding with his handler and partner, Sergeant Nick Belliveau. Frank was beloved by many local school children. He calmed many potentially violent offenders by his presence alone. And he was effective at apprehending suspects when called to do so in Sebastopol as well as in other area jurisdictions, who called on Sgt. Belliveau and Frank during times of need.
Frank previously survived a bout of cancer with the overwhelming support of the public via a gofundme campaign. Sadly, the cancer returned recently and Frank was released from his pain last evening at about 6pm.
The Sebastopol Police Department, and most especially Frank's partner, Sgt. Nike Belliveau and Nick's wife Alyssa, are deeply impacted by Frank's passing.
Sgt. Nick Belliveau, Alyssa Belliveau, and everyone at the Sebastopol Police Department thanks the public for their support of K-9 Frank during his time of need.
