Yesterday, GCSO Deputies were called to a home in the 1200 block of North State Highway AB after someone located suspicious materials including blasting caps. As a precaution, the Springfield Fire Department Bomb Squad responded to assist with identifying and disposing of the items found. After further investigation, it was determined this was an isolated incident with no active threat to public safety. There have not been any arrests made in the incident thus far and the investigation is still ongoing.
