The City of Sturgis Electric Department has scheduled a planned power outage to perform maintenance to the distribution system on Sunday, July 3rd from approximately 6:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. The power outage is only for a portion of the City and those affected have been notified of the outage. A map of the affected areas is available on our website at www.sturgismi.gov/utilities/electric/outage/. When viewing the map, if you double-click on the map itself it will zoom in so you can see the specific outage area which is highlighted in red.

The outage impacts an irregular area bordered by North Orange Street on the west, the railroad tracks on the north, North Lakeview on the east, and US-12/Chicago Road on the south. Again, any impacted homes or businesses will have received notice via a visit or door hangar, but consult the online map to see if your home is within the outage area.
