Forth of July Fireworks
As we get closer to July 4th, fireworks are once again becoming more prevalent in the city. The City of Bellflower only allows “Safe and Sane” fireworks between July 1st and July 5th from 10:00am to 11:00 pm. (*Please note that on July 4th, safe and sane fireworks are allowed until midnight*). A general rule of thumb is if it leaves the ground or explodes, it’s probably not “Safe and Sane”. LA County Sheriff Deputies will be increasing patrols in the city on July 4th to address the use of illegal fireworks. If you are caught in possession of illegal fireworks or setting off illegal fireworks, fines begin at $1,000. You may turn in any illegal fireworks, anonymously, at local fire station 23 and 98. To report illegal fireworks call the Lakewood Sheriff Station at (562)623-3500.
