46-yr old man & 51-yr old woman in custody after early morning pursuit 
On Thursday (06/30/16) morning at approximately 2:02 a.m. in the area of South Farm Road 123 and West Sunshine Street, a Greene County Sheriff's Deputy attempted to stop a vehicle for suspicion of Driving While Intoxicated. The driver of the vehicle failed to stop and led Deputies on a pursuit through the city of Springfield.
The Springfield Police Department assisted in the pursuit by deploying stop sticks to aid in tire deflation.
The 46-year old male driver and 51-year old female passenger were arrested without incident near the intersection of South Jefferson Avenue and Bob Barker Boulevard. Several stolen items related to a Republic Police Department investigation were recovered from within the vehicle.
Both individuals were transported to the Greene County Jail and charges are to be submitted to the Greene County Prosecuting Attorney's Office for further review.
