4th of July Message from Manhattan Beach Fire Department
As we rapidly approach the 4th of July Holiday, many of you will be making plans to celebrate this important day in our nation's history. The Manhattan Beach Fire Department would like to take this opportunity to express a sincere desire that your holiday be fun and safe. At the same time, we want to remind you that it is illegal to possess or discharge fireworks of any type in the City of Manhattan Beach. The Los Angeles area offers several public displays which you may wish to take advantage of. The discharge of "Safe and Sane" fireworks is permitted only in communities where they are sold and you are encouraged to contact those communities for their guidelines.
Following our commitment to protect your well-being and property, our personnel will be traveling throughout the City on the 4th to ensure compliance with the no-fireworks regulations. Please don't place us or yourselves in the uncomfortable situation of having to interrupt your celebrations due to illegal discharge of fireworks. We ask your cooperation to make this the safest Fourth of July ever in the City of Manhattan Beach.
