Father and Son Arrested for Theft from Lowes

Knox County – This morning at approximately 11:15, Master Trooper Gary Goodman was traveling on 2nd Street in Vincennes when he observed a male subject exiting a rear door at Lowes with two boxes of DeWalt tools. The male threw the tools into a truck before driving away. Trooper Goodman stopped the vehicle and identified the driver as Scott Barnett, 47, of Newburgh and the passenger as Blake Barnett, 23, of Evansville. Further investigation revealed the DeWalt tools were allegedly stolen from Lowes. Both Barnett’s had five outstanding warrants from Warrick, Vanderburgh and Daviess County, KY. They were also arrested for false informing and identity deception after they originally gave Trooper Goodman false information about their identity. They were both arrested and taken to the Knox County Jail where they are currently being held on bond.
