Timmy J. Wilkerson (51) has been charged with the Class B Felony of Driving While Intoxicated – Chronic Offender and Class D Felony of Driving While Revoked/Suspended.
Sheriff Walter states that on Monday, July 04, 2016 he received information of Wilkerson driving intoxicated on State Highway H. Sheriff Walter located Wilkerson operating a motor vehicle on State Highway H. Sheriff Walter conducted a vehicle stop on Wilkerson for driving approximately two miles per hour and failing to maintain a single lane.
Wilkerson had a strong odor of an intoxicating beverage emitting from his person, his speech was slurred, and he was not able to maintain his balance. The field sobriety test were stopped for Wilkerson’s safety due to Wilkerson being unable to maintain his balance.
A check on Wilkerson’s driving privileges showed his operator’s license to be revoked in Missouri. Wilkerson has four or more prior convictions for driving while intoxicated.
Wilkerson was arrested and transported to the Scott County Jail. At the jail he refused to give a breath sample, but stated he was drunk. A search warrant was obtained for a sample of Wilkerson’s blood. Scott County is a no refusal county.
Wilkerson remains in custody at the Scott County Jail. Bond was set by the court at $15,000 cash only.
