Road construction in and around Valdez resumes today, July 5th. 
Pioneer Drive will be closed on the west side through Wednesday July 6th. Business access will be available from the Richardson Highway. By Thursday July 7th, Pioneer will be open temporarily as a through street.
The State began striping the road along Egan today. Expect milling and paving on the inbound lane of the Richardson Highway. Milling crews will work up till 10 pm. Expect up to 20 minute delays. Either a pilot car or flaggers will be in effect.
Sidewalk construction continues around Safeway.
Remember to slow down. Make a safer work environment for the City and State construction crews.
