On July 5th at approximately 1128 hours, police were dispatched to the Citizens Bank at 148 College Street for the report of a robbery. A description of the lone male suspect was provided, and the subject was taken into custody within several minutes. This male was identified as Michael Butler who also resides within the City of Burlington.
It should be noted that there was no weapon displayed during the incident, and that the written demand for cash was unsuccessful. There were also no injuries reported during this incident and no belief that the public is in danger.
