White County-Yesterday at around 3:43 p.m. on SR 18 near CR 300 east a vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation and approximately 20 pounds of spice was found.
Trooper Tyler Stinson stopped a black 2001 Jeep Cherokee driven by Toby Jackson Gregory, 32 of Brookston, IN for speeding. Upon smelling the odor of drugs coming from the vehicle, Trooper Stinson had suspicion criminal activity was occurring and discovered the spice inside the vehicle. Gregory was placed into custody and charged with:
• Dealing Synthetic Marijuana
• Possession of Paraphernalia
• Possession of Synthetic Drugs
Gregory was transported and lodged in the White County Jail. Assisting at the scene was Trooper Ben Rector. The investigation is continuing.
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
