Full Notification

At 11:30 am today Otter Creek Fire was dispatched to 2108 Park Ave for a report of a house on fire. Upon arrival personnel found a two-storey home with flames coming from the rear of the structure. The fire grew rapidly and within a few short minutes the house was fully involved. With no fire hydrants nesr the scene, getting water was a challenge. Otter Creek called for assistance from Terre Haute Fire, Nevins, Shepardsville, Lyford, Rosedale and Seelyville Fire departments. Otter Creek was on scene for nearly 8 1/2 hours fighting the fire. There were no injuries reported. The house is a complete loss and the fire extended to the garage and damaged 3 cars.
A cause has not yet been determined and is still under investigation by OCFD.
