Parke County—At 2:08 this afternoon, Indiana State Police responded to a motorcycle crash on US-41 near County Road 860 North. The crash left one dead.

Preliminary investigation revealed a 2014 Harley Davidson traveling South Bound on US-41, and for unknown reasons lost control near County Road 860 North and left the roadway striking the guard rail. The motorcycle was driven by 71 year old Charles E. Marcoe of Kenosha, WI. The driver was thrown from the motorcycle after striking the guardrail. The driver was wearing a helmet. An autopsy has been schedule for tomorrow morning.

Family of deceased has been notified.

The crash was investigated by ISP Master Trooper Gary Winters. Assisting were ISP Troopers Chuck Murphy and Lieutenant Brent Johnson. Also assisting at the scene were the Parke County Sheriff’s department and the Parke County Ems.
