Clear the Shelters Adoption Event
The City of Corona Animal Shelter is partnering with more than 55 animal shelters throughout Southern California for the NBC4 and Telemundo52 Clear the Shelters event to be held on Saturday, July 23, 2016. Clear the Shelters was created to help address the overcrowding of animals at animal shelters and raise awareness about the benefits of adopting from a local animal shelter.
The 2015 event resulted in the largest single day pet adoption event in Southern California resulting in more than 2,500 animals being adopted.
The Corona Animal Shelter will be turning this one day event into a week-long pet adoption event. From Monday, July 18, 2016 through Saturday, July 23, 2016, the day of the event, all pet adoptions will be $20, which includes the cost of spay/neuter. Normal dog licensing fees still apply.
Supporting the Corona Animal Shelter, VCA Animal Hospital and Petco will be at the shelter on Saturday, July 23rd to answer any pet health questions and provide a free gift bag for all those adopting a new pet. The gift bag includes a $250 limited health voucher to be used at VCA Animal Hospital.
As a Clear the Shelters partner, the Corona Animal Shelter will be open from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Saturday, July 23rd. Please join us in making this year’s event a successful one by adopting a homeless pet and giving it a forever home. You can view photos of animals at the shelter by downloading the City of Corona Mobile App in the App Store for Apple iOS devices, or the Google Play Store for Android devices.
