Sullivan County—Indiana State Police Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators are investigating a death at 4451 S. County Rd 100 East in Carlisle. The deceased is a 3 ½ month old male infant. The infant was discovered in the residence around 1:15 PM.

At approximately 1:15 this afternoon, the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call reporting a deceased male infant in the home. Deputies arrived at the scene and confirmed the information. The Sullivan County Sheriff’s Department then requested assistance from the Indiana State Police. Interviews are being conducted at this time to determine what happened.

An autopsy is scheduled for Monday at Terre Haute Regional Hospital.

No other information will be released at this time.

Assisting at the scene were the Sullivan County Sheriff’s department and Sullivan County Child Protective Services.
