* TEMPERATURES

IN THE MID 90S THIS AFTERNOON.. INCREASING INTO THE
UPPER 90S ON WEDNESDAY. TEMPERATURES MAY REACH 100 DEGREES ACROSS PORTIONS OF THE AREA BOTH THURSDAY AND FRIDAY.

* HEAT INDICES

RANGING FROM NEAR 105 TO 110 DEGREES EACH
AFTERNOON.

* IMPACTS

THE COMBINATION OF VERY WARM TEMPERATURES AND HIGH
HUMIDITY WILL LEAD TO OPPRESSIVE CONDITIONS WHICH COULD QUICKLY LEAD TO HEAT RELATED ILLNESSES.
YOUNG CHILDREN AND PETS SHOULD NEVER BE LEFT UNATTENDED IN VEHICLES UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. THIS IS ESPECIALLY TRUE DURING WARM OR HOT WEATHER WHEN CAR INTERIORS CAN REACH LETHAL TEMPERATURES IN A MATTER OF MINUTES.

TAKE EXTRA PRECAUTIONS IF YOU WORK OR SPEND TIME OUTSIDE. WHEN POSSIBLE

RESCHEDULE STRENUOUS ACTIVITIES TO EARLY MORNING OR
EVENING. KNOW THE SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS OF HEAT EXHAUSTION AND HEAT STROKE. WEAR LIGHT WEIGHT AND LOOSE FITTING CLOTHING

DRINK PLENTY OF FLUIDS AVOIDING CAFFEINATED AND ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES

STAY IN AN AIR-CONDITIONED ROOM AND OUT OF THE SUN
