Arrest made in Road Rage Incident
On June 30th, 2016 at approximately 10:00 AM, PSPD officers investigated a Road Rage Incident that ended in the 2100 block of E Tahquitz Canyon.
The incident began when the driver of a BMW coupe pulled out in front of the victim vehicle. Both drivers began swerving around each other, slowing directly in front of each other in what appears to be out of anger over driving actions.
As the victim pulled into a parking lot in the 2100 block of E Tahquitz Canyon Driver, the suspect pulled in and exited his vehicle. The suspect approached the victim and was carrying a long metal object.
The suspect yelled at the victim and struck the victim in the head with the metal object which caused the victim to fall and lose consciousness.
The suspect was seen calmly walking back to his vehicle and driving away.
PSPD Detectives obtained the case and conducted extensive follow up due to the nature of the crime and the assault of the victim with the metal object.
Detectives were able to identify the suspect from a cell phone left at the scene and photographs discovered during the investigation of the vehicle.
The suspect, Harvey Seno Lozada, DOB -11/6/67 of Cathedral City was arrested by PSPD Detectives on July 7th at approximately 7:00 AM after the service of a search warrant at his residence.
Lozada was booked on the following charges in the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility in Indio :
205 PC - Aggravated Mayhem
245(a)(1) PC - Assault with a deadly weapon - GBI Likely - Not a firearm
He is currently in custody with No Bail.
