The Downbeat Express will be performing at Farnsworth Park in the amphitheater located 568 E mount Curve ave. at 7pm this Saturday July 23rd. FREE admission to this concert.
This Saturday marks the 15th Farnsworth Park Concert to feature THE DOWNBEAT EXPRESS directed by Pat Emmett and featuring vocalist Jennifer Gates.
The band pays tribute to the
marvelous female vocalists that added so much to the success of big bands of the '30s and '40s.
On Saturday we pay homage to Ella Fitzgerald, Doris Day, Marion Hutton, Billie Holiday, Jo Stafford, Edith Wright, Sarah Vaughn, and others. Songs include Avalon, Chattanooga Choo Choo, I'm Beginning To See The Light, At Last, Goody Goody, Everyday I Have The Blues and more, all performed by Altadena's own MCA recording Artist, Jennifer Gates.
