HIGH HUMIDITY/SEVERE STORMS POSSIBLE THURSDAY. OUTDOOR WORKERS, THE ELDERLY, AND PETS MOST AT RISK.STAY HYDRATED.

HUMIDITY LEVELS WILL BECOME QUITE UNCOMFORTABLE ON THURSDAY. EXPECT AFTERNOON HEAT INDEX VALUES IN THE MIDDLE 90S ACROSS MUCH OF NORTHERN LOWER MICHIGAN...AND AROUND 90 IN EASTERN UPPER
MICHIGAN. THOSE SPENDING TIME OUTDOORS WILL BE SUSCEPTIBLE TO DEHYDRATION. ELDERLY PEOPLE...OUTDOOR PETS AND THOSE WITHOUT AIR CONDITIONING ARE ALSO VULNERABLE TO HEAT STRESS. TAKE FREQUENT BREAKS AND DRINK PLENTY OF NON-ALCOHOLIC FLUIDS IF SPENDING TIME
OUTDOORS.

IN ADDITION...SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE DURING THE AFTERNOON AND EVENING HOURS. THE MAIN THREAT FROM STORMS WILL BE DAMAGING WINDS...LARGE HAIL AND VERY HEAVY RAIN.
