Property Tax Reimbursement Program (Senior Freeze) Applications Filing Deadline Extended to October 17, 2016
The Division of Taxation will begin to mail 2015 Senior Freeze (Property Reimbursement) checks on July 15, 2016, to applicants who filed by the original deadline of June 1, 2016. Keep in mind that the deadline has been extended for the 2015 applications to October 17, 2016. To check the status of a filed application call 1-800-882-6597.
2016 Final/ 2017 Preliminary Property Tax Bills
Taxes are billed annually and are based on the current year assessment. The 2016 Final/2017 Preliminary Tax Bills were mailed on Friday, July 22, 2016. This tax bill reflects taxes that are due on August 1, 2016, November 1, 2016, February 1, 2017 and May 1, 2017. The borough offers a 10 day grace period. Payment must be received in the tax office before the end of the grace period to avoid interest being assessed from the statuary due dates. The grace period for the 3rd quarter 2016 (August installment) has been extended to August 15, 2016. Any payment received in the tax office after August 15 will be considered late and interest will be assessed back to the original due date of August 1.
