Motorcyclist arrested for fleeing police on a stolen motorcycle 
On Friday, July 22, 2016 at about 3:01 PM, Sebastopol Police Motor Officer Furry was on patrol in the area of Florence Avenue and Huntley Street when he noticed a Kawasaki motorcycle pass by him that possibly matched a recently stolen motorcycle from Sebastopol.
A check of the license plate revealed it returned to another type of motorcycle. Officer Furry attempted to stop the motorcyclist in the area of Zimpher Drive and Valentine Avenue. The motorcyclist failed to yield to the officer's lights and siren, fleeing at speeds up to 80 mph in a residential neighborhood.
The motorcyclist ran a stop sign at the intersection of Valentine Avenue and Pleasant Hill Avenue North and collided with a truck that was in the intersection.
Blake Palma, 21 years old of Sebastopol was arrested for the following violations:
-496(d) PC Possession of stolen vehicle
-2800.2(a) VC Recklessly evading a peace officer
-14601.1(a) VC driving while license suspended
Palma was transported to the hospital for treatment of injuries sustained during the collision.
