Attention Rutgers Community:
The New Brunswick Police Department is investigating an aggravated assault which is reported to have occurred on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at approximately 11:00 PM inside a private residence in the area of Huntington Street and Easton Avenue.
In this incident the victims, who are not affiliated with the University, reported that they sustained injuries from an edged weapon while attempting to break up a physical altercation which occurred during a party inside the residence. Both victims were treated for non-life threatening injuries at a local area hospital.
Descriptions of the perpetrators are limited at this time.
The New Brunswick Police Department is actively investigating this incident and asks that anyone with information, or who may have been in the area at the time, contact the New Brunswick Police Department Detective Bureau at 732-745-5217.
