• Hazards: New thunderstorm development is expected across northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin this afternoon, expected to drop into the area late afternoon-evening. Isolated severe weather possible, with isolated damaging wind and isolated large hail as the main threats. Locally heavy rainfall will also be possible.
• Location: Risk of isolated severe weather across the entire forecast area, but highest risk west of Interstate 69.
• Timing: Greatest risk from 4pm-Midnight.
• Confidence: Moderate to High on scattered storms developing, but low confidence in severe weather.
• Heat indices of 95 to 103 will continue today, turning cooler and much less humid Monday/Tuesday behind a cold front.
