07/18
MIP/MIC: Complainant reported a loud party with underage drinking. Officer arrived on scene, attempted to make contact with individuals inside the residence but no one would come to the door. Officers eventually made contact and summonsed one person for Minor Consuming Alcohol, 2nd Offense.
Sexual Assault: Complainant reported a possible fight in progress outside a residence. Upon arrival, officers observed two individuals who were arguing in front of the residence regarding an alleged sexual assault that had occurred.
Arrested: Lawrence Ashouwak, DOB 3/25/1994, of Anchorage, for Assault 4th Degree, Sexual Assault 2nd Degree, and Criminal Trespass 1st Degree.
Bail has been set at $5000 + Court Approved Third Party
Animal at Large: Complainant reported a dog was at a local business. ACO retrieved the dog and took it to the shelter.
Animal Information: Complainant reported there was an excessive amount of dog feces in the yard at a residence, concerned for welfare of the dogs. ACO made contact with the owner.
Harassment: Complainant requested to speak to an officer regarding being followed and harassed by an individual due to an altercation that had occurred days previous. An officer contacted the subject and advised him to leave the business and to only be on the premises if there for business reasons.
Camping: ACO attempted to contact a camper that was parked in a no camping area.
Parking Problems: Dispatch received a report of a vehicle parked in a handicap parking spot with no handicap stickers. An officer arrived and found that there was a handicap card on the dash.
Camping: ACO advised people of camping regulations.
Traffic Complaint: Complainant reported that a piece of the construction equipment was blocking the view at an intersection.
Theft of Property: Complainant reported their license plate was stolen off their vehicle.
Theft of an Access Device: Complainant reported their credit card number had been stolen.
Traffic Complaint: Complainant reported a vehicle drove through the park strip and parked at the Whitney Museum. An officer contacted the individual who stated they had just followed the sign on Pioneer to the Museum.
Traffic Hazard: An officer removed lumber from the highway.
Bear Related Call: Caller reported a brown bear feeding at the weir with multiple people nearby.
Trespassing: A local business called to request an individual be trespassed from their property. An officer contacted the person and notified them of the trespass.
Noise Disturbance: Complainant reported a loud bon fire near the Betty Cato Bridge. A large group of people were contacted and agreed to turn the music down for the evening.

Welfare Check: Dispatch received a request for a welfare check on an individual. Officers contacted the person who stated they were fine, just needed sometime alone.
Assault Simple: Complainant reported being assaulted by 3 individuals. Officers arrived on scene and after speaking with multiple witnesses it was concluded it was a verbal dispute only, no arrests were made.
Barking Dog: Complainant called to report a barking dog. ACO responded, found the barking dog, left a door hangar for the owner.
Traffic Complaint: Complainant reported having trouble keeping a vehicle from racing around the dike area at 10 mile even though both entrances are marked with signs that the road is closed. Vehicle wasn’t currently in the area, just wanted officers to be aware.
Civil Problems/Disputes: Complainant reported an individual tried to run them over with their vehicle in a parking lot. Officers attempted to make contact with both parties.
Traffic Complaint: Dispatch received a complaint of two ATV’s riding on the bike path on Dayville Road. The ATV’s were gone upon officers arrival.

Noise Disturbance: Complainant reported multiple vehicles on the dike access road at 10 mile. Officers were unable to locate any vehicles in the area.
Noise Disturbance: Complainant reported people being loud behind an apartment complex. Officers were unable to hear any noise in the area.
Traffic Complaint: Complainant reported a truck had driven by at excessive speeds. Officers responded, contacted a vehicle matching the description, gave warning for speed.
Camping: Complainant reported campers camping in a prohibited area. Officers responded and determined the campers were not in violation.
Aggressive Animal: Complainant reported a dog attack had taken place. ACO determined two campers at an RV park were parked to close to each other and contacted the RV Park who agreed to try and move one further away.
Trespassing: Complainant called to report someone had walked into their home while their son was home alone, then turned and left. A description of the vehicle was given, the officer spoke with the driver of the vehicle who stated they had gone to residence to get something from another person that lived there but couldn’t find what they were looking for so left.
Noise Disturbance: Complainant reported loud noise coming from equipment being used for road work. Officers contacted the individual and cited them for Disorderly Conduct - Unreasonable Noise, per the city ordinance regarding noise after 10:00pm.

Traffic Hazard: Dispatch was notified that someone had rearranged the hazard cones on Egan.
Litter: ACO responded to Dock Point after being made aware there being a lot of trash in the area. He contacted Parks & Rec who was going to send their Litter Patrol group over to clean up the area.
Criminal Mischief: While patrolling, an officer noticed a significant amount of graffiti on the rocks at Dock Point.
Disturbance-Other: Officers were dispatched to the Civic Center lookout area for a report of a group of people drinking and fighting. Officers responded and were told by others in the area that the group had already left.
Suspicious Person: Complainant reported a suspicious person was walking the fence line of a parking lot looking in vehicles. The individual was contacted by an officer.
Welfare Check: Caller reported an male individual was on the side of the highway near 10 mile frantically waving their arms, looking distraught. Officers contacted the individual who stated they were waiting for a friend and was fine.
Criminal Mischief: Complainant reported finding the windows on their vehicle had been busted out after hearing rocks hitting metal, the sound of glass breaking then possibly kids’ voices and an ATV leaving the area. Officers responded and contacted multiple people in the neighborhood but were unable to find who was responsible.
General Contact: Officers contacted several people at the Dock Point Pavilion. They advised the group of the no alcohol policy for the area and reminded them to pick up their trash before leaving for the night.
Bear Related Call: A bear with a crowd of spectators was at the Hatchery. The CSO remained on scene until the crowd died down.
Information Report: Officers received information that an individual in the Valdez area had a Federal warrant. Officers went to the known residence but found that the individual had already left Valdez.

Title 47 ETOH: Complainant called to report a male individual was sleeping on the sidewalk. Officers contacted the individual who was highly intoxicated. They transported him to the Valdez Jail so he would have a safe place to sleep until sober.
Abandoned Vehicle: A local business called to report a vehicle had been in their parking lot for several days. Dispatch contacted the owner who was trying to get it fixed and moved.
Disturbance-Other: A local business called to report an individual was yelling and throwing a fit in their lobby. Officers contacted the individual who had already left the business.
Bear Related Call: Complainant requested to have someone in the area due to a bear that was wandering around a couple of tour buses at Allison Point.
Disturbance-Other: Complainant reported an individual come into the roped off construction area where they were removing trees and refused to leave. Officers contacted the individual who was upset that trees were being removed.
Bear Related Call: Brown bear with cubs were on Glacier Stream Bridge with multiple cars stopped in both lanes to view them. An officer and the CSO was on scene moving cars along, bears moved along also.
Welfare Check: Caller requested a welfare check on an employee who hadn’t shown up for work. The individual was contacted and was fine.
Traffic Complaint: Complainant reported a vehicle speeding down Glacier Haul Road. An officer made contact with the driver.
ETOH Pedestrian: Complainant reported a male individual was intoxicated and trying to get rides from everyone coming and going from a local business. The individual had left the business and was walking on the bike path when officers arrived in the area.
Fish & Game: Complainant reported people were fishing in the Weir at the hatchery. CSO responded and found people with fishing poles but they were not actively fishing.
Camping: CSO spoke with campers who were in a no camping area, they agreed to move to a campground for the night.
ATV: Officer stopped with an ATV driving on Egan. Issued warning for riding on the street.
Stop FI: While on patrol, an officer contacted an individual parked behind the high school and advised them they couldn’t sleep there.
Noise Disturbance: Complainant reports loud music and possible underage drinking. Officers responded, did not find any underage drinking and had the individuals turn down the music.
Theft of Access Device: An individual currently being held at the Valdez Jail was found to be in possession of a Visa Debit Card belonging to someone else. Case is currently under investigation.
ETOH Pedestrian: Caller reported an intoxicated male walking down Fairbanks Street. The individual was gone upon officer arrival.
Family-Neighbor Fights: Complainant requested officers assist in getting possessions out their residence. Officers arrived on scene and provided a civil standby.

Stop FI: Officers were flagged down by an individual regarding a male who was making threats at a local bar. The subject had already left the establishment and was going back to where they were staying.
Assault-Information Only: Complainant reported that a person they had brought to Valdez with them was now intoxicated and an altercation had ensued. Officers contact both parties and separated them.
ETOH Pedestrian: Caller reported an extremely intoxicated male stumbling around. Officers contacted the individual who was then chasing the rabbits. He was staying nearby; officers ensured he made it there safely.
Bear Related Call: CSO provided crowd control on Dayville while a bear was in the area.
Traffic Complaint: Complainant reported a car was driving at a high rate of speed and there were lots of kids in the area. Requested extra patrol during the kids fishing derby.
Harassment: A local business called to report that a male individual was intoxicated and yelling at tourists, threatening to blow something up. The individual was trespassed from the property.
ETOH Pedestrian: Multiple callers called to report an extremely intoxicated male walking in the middle of the road at a local RV Park swinging a large 6 foot board around. The RV Park requested he be trespassed from their property.
Disturbance-Other: A local business called requested an individual be trespassed from their store after causing a scene. Officers found the individual and informed him of the trespass.
Trespassing: An individual who had been trespassed from a local business was back at that the business.
Arrested: Mustaf Abdille, DOB 1/1/1987, of Anchorage, for Criminal Trespass 2nd Degree.
Traffic Complaint: Caller reported that side dumps are driving way too fast on South Harbor, going up on the new sidewalks.
Traffic Complaint: Complainant reported a white truck speeding at an excessive rate. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.
Stop FI: Officers contacted a group of individuals at the small boat harbor consuming alcohol. They agreed to pour out their drinks and move on.
Bear Related Call: CSO provided crowd control on Dayville while a bear was in the area.
Welfare Check: An officer was flagged down by an passer-by who reported that there was a naked guy in Ruth Pond, shaving. Officers contacted the individual who they did find in Ruth Pond shaving, but did have shorts on.

Disturbance-Bar: Security personnel at a local bar contacted officers to report they had removed an individual from the bar for the evening for causing a disturbance. Officers contacted the individual and issued him a trespass for the night.
Disturbance-Bar: Security personnel at a local bar contacted officers to report an individual was fighting in the bar. Officers arrived and contacted the individual who was told to leave the premises which he did but then he returned and refused to leave after being told multiple times by officers. Arrested: Kyle Clapp, DOB 7/7/1989, of Homer, for Disorderly Conduct.
Trespassing: Security personnel at a local bar requested officers for an individual they had detained after he came back on the premises after being trespassed for the night earlier in the evening. Arrested: David Bleeker, DOB 6/28/1981, of Michigan, for Criminal Trespass 2nd Degree.
Disturbance-Bar: Security personnel at a local bar contacted officers to report a fight that had occurred. Officers arrived on scene, made contact and interviewed the victim and multiple witnesses. The subject had already left the scene. Case is under investigation.
Traffic Hazard: Construction sign had been relocated to the middle of the road.
Traffic Complaint: Complainant reported a vehicle driving through the park strip. An officer contacted the driver who was following the sign on Pioneer to the Whitney Museum.
Stop FI: An officer made contact with an individual at Dock Point who was consuming alcohol. The individual was advised that there is to be no alcohol consumption in that area.
Animal at Large: CSO found a dog running at large on the highway and returned it to its owner.
Domestic Assault: Caller reported two individuals fighting.

Camping: CSO advised a group they needed to move to a campground for the night.
Bear Related Call: CSO remained at the hatchery for a bear in the area.
