Branchburg Man Sentenced for Sex Crimes
Hunterdon County Prosecutor Anthony P. Kearns, III, announced the sentencing of David C. Hardy, age 35, of Branchburg, NJ.
According to Prosecutor Kearns, “Mr. Hardy was convicted of Criminal Sexual Contact and has been sentenced to five years probation by the Honorable Angela F. Borkowski, JSC. In addition, Mr. Hardy will be required to register as a Megan’s Law sex offender, attend sex offender group therapy and is restricted from social media and internet use for five years.”
David C. Hardy was arrested in August 2014 for engaging in sexual acts with a child less than 16 years old but older than 13 years and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. The crimes took place in September of 2000 when Mr. Hardy resided in Lebanon Township, NJ.
Prosecutor Kearns added, “The sexual exploitation of a child is a heinous crime. Continual communication with children under your care is imperative to keeping them safe and children should be taught about appropriate boundaries.”
