Smoke is still plaguing us from the fire in the Monterey area. Limit outdoor activity if you have respiratory issues.

We will continue to see smoke from the Soberanes Fire near Monterey which is now 19,000 acres  with only 10% containment.  Local engines were sent from the Truckee Tahoe area to help with structure protection.  There are at least 2300 firefighters, 215 engines, 48 hand crews, 14 helicopters and 6 air tankers being used on this incident. There is no local fires in the area at this time, but go to readyforwildfire.org for information on evacuation plans to help  prepare yourself for emergencies.
