National Night Out Event

On Tuesday, August 2nd, 2016 from 4:00pm-7:00pm, join us and your neighbors for the National Night Out event at the Woodlands Church parking lot located at 1000 East Riverview Expressway in Wisconsin Rapids.

The National Night Out event is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, and better places to live.

Join the 38.3 million neighbors across 16 thousand communities across the United States who will participate in this year's event.

At the Wisconsin Rapids location, we will have Law Enforcement Officers , Deputies, K9s and Troopers, Fire Department/Paramedic Personnel, and Rescue Personnel from several agencies aside their squad cars, fire trucks and rescue trucks who will be there to talk to kids, greet families and and just say Hi. It is a great chance to meet the men and women who work hard and risk their lives everyday to help keep everyone safe.

Also at the event will be representatives from ARES Ham Radio group and representatives from the Wisconsin Rapids Family Center.

For those with children, the WRPD will be enrolling children with their SafeAssured ID system.

If you are hungry, It's the Pits BBQ will be at the event with Pulled Pork Sandwiches and Pulled Pork Nachos for sale.
