On Sunday, July 31st 2016 at about 11:32 P.M., Anderson Police were dispatched to the Anderson Wal-Mart for a reported stolen vehicle. Police met with the victim who reported his vehicle was stolen from the parking-lot after he had been shopping inside the business. A short time after police left the business, an on duty Sergeant with the Shasta County Sheriff’s Office observed the victims stolen vehicle being driven southbound on HWY 273. Upon detecting the presence of law enforcement, the driver foot bailed from the stolen vehicle and attempted to elude the Shasta County Sheriff’s Office and Anderson Police.
