Sheriff Walter reports a 26 year old Blodgett man was arrested on charges related to sexual assault.

The 26 year old has been charged with the class C felony of Statutory Rape 2nd Degree.

Sheriff Walter states that on, July 20, 2016, a detective with the Scott County Sheriff’s Office began investigating the allegations.

On August 5, 2016, the suspect was located and placed under arrest. An interview was conducted where the suspect confessed to soliciting and having sex with the juvenile.

On August 6, 2016, a warrant was issued for Statutory Rape 2nd Degree. Bond was set by the court at $25,000 cash only.
