Hunterdon County Prosecutor Anthony P. Kearns, III, Chief John Kuczynski, and Delaware Township Police Chief Chris Cane announced that Thomas P. Kostingo, age 53, of Gilberton, PA, was arrested on August 2, 2016 after a woman reported she was being followed by another vehicle.
At 9:50 PM, Delaware Township Police responded to a residential driveway and found Thomas P. Kostingo in his vehicle. Kostingo was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant out of Lancaster, PA.
Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office Chief of Detectives John J. Kuczynski stated “It remains unclear why this individual, who by all accounts is a stranger, followed the woman into Delaware Township.”
At the time of his arrest, Kostingo was operating a 1998 Dodge pickup truck, colored red, with PA license plates. A subsequent search of the vehicle by the Delaware Township Police Department and the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office yielded a hypodermic syringe and drug paraphernalia.
