Vandalism Suspect Assaulted
Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department West Bureau Homicide detectives are investigating an assault that left one man seriously injured in Hollywood.
On Friday, August 5, 2016, around 1:20 a.m., officers responded to a vandalism radio call. Officers were flagged down in the area of Hollywood Boulevard and La Brea Avenue by witnesses who observed the victim, hitting cars with a metal flashlight. The victim struck a black BMW SUV with the flashlight when two male Blacks, exited the vehicle and punched him. This caused the victim to fall and hit his head on the ground, leaving him unconscious and in critical condition.
Hollywood Boulevard is well traveled and numerous cars were in the area when this incident occurred.
