According to Sheriff Rick Walter a Chaffee husband and wife are in custody tonight following an afternoon drug bust in Chaffee.

Walter said detectives received information of methamphetamine being used and distributed at a home on West Davidson Street in Chaffee on Monday morning.

Walter stated that detectives were able to follow up on the information and obtained a search warrant for the residence.

Walter stated that methamphetamine and marijuana were discovered during the search along with an assortment of drug paraphernalia.

Walter stated the male suspect was arrested at the residence at the time of the search. The female suspect was arrested a short time later.

Sheriff Walter stated he expects additional charges and arrests to be made pending further investigation.

The identities of the suspects will be released after the issuance of the criminal warrants.
